Josue is the Managing Partner and CTO of Athena Capital Partners, overseeing the computational architecture and systematic execution of the Quant 33 Fund I. Prior to Athena, Josue was a serial biotechnology entrepreneur, founding and exiting multiple ventures with over $17M in career venture capital raised. Josue’s experience spans high-frequency finance and systemic optimization, having served as a Quantitative Execution Trader at Alameda Research where he specialized in structural arbitrage and liquidity protocols. A member of Mensa (IQ 147), he served as a Senior Advisor to the late Tony Hsieh, former CEO of Zappos. Josue studied Computer Science and International Business at UC Berkeley and, as a Yale University admit, elected to self-fund a private research mandate in inorganic science and horticultural systems. He currently sits on the Board of Directors for Really Awesome Brands Inc.
